Who can access YPA content?
High School educators at public, private, charter, and virtual high schools or youth service clubs within high schools can access the My Peacebuilder Foundations curriculum unit FOR FREE. Advisors for community youth service clubs and organizations may also apply. Applications are welcome from student government associations, Model UN, UNICEF chapters, Interact, Key Club, Beta Club, NHS, Scouts, Boys & Girls Clubs, and other groups.
What are the benefits?
YPA puts youth at the center of building and sustaining a culture of peace. A unique aspect of YPA is its innovative, mobile-friendly, web-based platform containing interactive peace education content for high school classrooms. Students drawn to or required to complete service learning projects will find team action Peace Project learning and experiences especially relevant. Certifications are provided for completion of different aspects of the journey.
Is there a cost to participate?
There is no cost for educators to access materials and lesson plans for the My Peacebuilder Foundations curricular unit. Student access and analytics tracking through YPA are available for a nominal fee per class or club that desires student access. Access to other curricular units is priced per user (email support@youthpeaceaction.org) to inquire about pricing for your school or school district.
Is the content approved by school boards or other authorities?
YPA is currently intended as an educational and experiential option for administrators, teachers, and advisors within high schools and youth service clubs and organizations. Using YPA resources is voluntary and at the discretion of educators and advisors who believe YPA is consistent with established education and service learning standards.
Is it too late to involve my high school or youth club/org?
Access for educators to the My Peacebuilder Foundations Curricular Unit is ongoing throughout the 2024-25 school year. Educators who wish to enroll their students in the My Peacebuilder Foundations online content should email info@youthpeaceaction.org for an enrollment link to share with students.
Enrollment in YPA curriculum units (including Civics and Peacebuilding; Right Relationships; and Connecting Reading, Literature, and Peacebuilding) for the 2025-26 school year begins April 2025.
How do I register for My Peacebuilder Foundations as an EDUCATOR?
Any educator is eligible to sign up for the My Peacebuilder Foundations curriculum unit FOR FREE in the 2024-25 school year. To access materials, click the "My Peacebuilder Foundations for Educators" link in the menu bar above. Simply create an account by completing the necessary information! You will receive an email notifying you of your access and be automatically directed to the My Peacebuilder Foundations online and classroom content upon enrollment.

How do I register for My Peacebuilder Foundations as a STUDENT?
Your school, club, or organization's YPA Activator/advisor has a custom enrollment link for your school/club/class. Access this link from your teacher, then complete the necessary information on the enrollment form. You will be automatically redirected to the My Peacebuilder Foundations Online Content.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Open the Online Peace Platform (www.ypalearning.org) in a web browser. Navigate to the "sign in" page using the top right menu bar. Click "Forgot Password?" on the sign-in page. You will be able to enter your email and the platform will send a password reset email to you.

How do I get my NewGen Peacebuilder certificate?
To become a certified NewGen Peacebuilder, you must complete the My Peacebuilder Foundations curricular unit. My Peacebuilder Foundations includes eight modules, as well as in-class discussions and activities for students and teachers. Upon completion, you will have automatic access to your NewGen Peacebuilder Certificate through the Online Peace Platform.
How do I get course credit or service hours approved?
Your school may offer you course credit or service hours for YPA participation. Your school manages this process. Please contact your school's YPA Activator for clarity and guidance.
